In the 1960's my grandma Sheldon began perfecting her cordial cherry recipe. She attended confectionery classes to learn all she could. Her delicious cordial cherries later became a staple at Christmas time and would ultimately provide many fond memories for me and my family. After my daughter was born, and wanting to ensure that her recipe would always be part of our family, I asked her to show me how to make them. After several gentle requests, my grandma eventually shared her recipe with me. Once I had mastered her recipe, I began hand decorating them with whimsical designs, all of which are edible. Much to my surprise people loved my designs as much as they loved to eat them.
